Prediction Results

A better week on the prediction front showing a profit of just less than £3 for the week with four out of seven correct "guesses".

In the rugby the only correct prediction was New Zealand's win over Italy by 21 points and whilst I correctly predicted that Australia would beat France I got the margin of victory wrong as the French wilted in the second half of the game. I have already commented on the Lions but I obviously got that one wrong.

The Moto GP went with what I had predicted as Rossi won easily and Stoner came in third giving me two correct predictions. Unbelievable that Rossi has now won 100 races in all classes of GP world championships and he must surely be in the reckoning for sportsman of the decade and possibly the greatest bike racer of all time.

My last couple of predictions were that England would beat Sweden in the semi-finals of the European U21 Football Championships which they duly did (though only after penalties). This meant that they were in the final which I predicted they would win, but not only did they lose to Germany, they got thrashed 4 - 0!

This weeks results mean that I am now £14 down since the start of the blog (assuming a £1 stake on each bet) but hopefully I will have some more success this week when in addition to the Lions test I will be making predictions on Wimbledon winners, Tour de France early stages and the Moto GP in Laguna Seca.
